Singing in the Shower

Today I thought I would talk about singing in the shower...and other things I do when no one's watching.  Or on those days when I think that it's okay to be a dork.  So like every day.

For example, I sing in the shower every day.  Even when it's 5:40 in the morning and all I want to do is sleep.  I don't know why, but it sounds so much better in there.  Lately, my personal concert has consisted of mostly One Direction.  Sometimes I catch myself thinking that I really should have an album :)  Just kidding, I wouldn't make it out there.

If you're like me and don't have the most... um... pleasent of voices, you wouldn't dare sing in public.  That is unless the 'public' consists of your best friends or family.  Then it's okay to belt out any song that comes to your mind.  No exceptions.

Well, I kept thinking about some things that I do on a regular basis that I probably shouldn't be proud of.  I've compiled a list for you, my wonderful reader.

1.  Singing in the shower, car (with the windows down), rain, and just about everywhere else.

2.  Dancing like a fool.
 I. Can't. Dance.

3.  Doing yoga poses while watching TV.
I mean what ELSE am I supposed to do?

4.  Reading upside down.
Blood flow to your head isn't always a good thing.  I learned that the hard way.

5.  Sliding down the stairs on my butt.
It may hurt, but it's soooo worth it.

6.  'Ice skating' on the hardwood in my socks.
As much as a like socks with grips, they make my mornings a lot less interesting.

7.  Asking my teachers a ton of questions just to make them mad.
I mean the first two were real, but after that I was just having some fun :)

8.  Watching videos about pranks.  I'm verrry addicted to those.
It's like hard core AFV.

9.  Rotating between Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Gmail for like an hour.
I think I visit them at least 10 times daily.  Probably more than that.

10.  Speaking in a ton of different accents for no reason.
p.s. I'm not good at accents (except for an Indian one, I got that down)

11.  Writing lists.  Obsessively.
I even got an app for it.  I use it more than any other one.

12.  Talking to myself.
This happens a whole lot.

I'm probably missing a whole bunch of them, but for now, that's all I've got.  My brain can only think for so long.  Plus, it's Saturday.  I've been using my brain for a whole week.  It's time for a rest.

Before I forget, I must include a song.  It's by One Direction.  I'm sorry if they always seem to end up in my posts, but they're just great singers.  Plus, they have a new song.  It is called 'Live While We're Young'.  Trust me, it's good :)

Ohh and so they have a new album out soon (November I think), so I'm considering reviewing it for a post.  I think that sounds like fun.  Same for Taylor Swift and her new album 'Red'.  I'm soooo excited :)

I feel like I always write posts when it's raining outside.  Ohhh fun fact! It's supposed to rain like all week.  That could mean one of two things.
A.  Lots of posts coming soon
B.  Lots of sleep coming soon
They both sound good to me, but I'm just not sure which will top my priorities.

I hope you enjoyed this post and are looking forward to my new fall series.  I'm not sure what to name it yet.  I do know it'll have some recipes, fall randomness (fair post???), decoration ideas or DIYs.  Actually, I'm not sure what it's going to be on, so I wouldn't get your hopes up if I were you.

Thanks for visiting my page! It really means a lot to me!

Much Love,

Game Day Vlog!!

So first of all, I wanted to say Happy Fall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm super duper excited for this fall!  I'm so happy to be able to do fall posts and just do fall stuff.  Speaking of fall stuff...

A few weeks ago, Bryce, Dad, and I all went to a Wake Forest football game.  It's our favorite team and we go when we can (which isn't a lot!).  It's so much fun to tailgate with friends and watch with others.  My grandpa was originally going to go with my dad and brother, but decided against it.  That left the 3rd ticket with me!  I was so glad to go (even though the weather wasn't great).

Oh, so I forgot to tell you that we (as in Wake) were playing against UNC Chapel Hill.  For those of you who aren't very familiar with college rivalries, you may not know that this was a big deal.  UNC has a great team and wins a lot of games, compared to us.  However, Wake has a great team that can do some pretty remarkable things when they need to, even under pressure.

I'm no sports reporter, so I'm not going to even attempt to describe what happened.  Although, my brother has a knack for it.  At the end of my vlog, I included a segment of him describing the final plays.

Yes, so I did make a vlog!!  I had a fun time filming everything and editing it all up.  Again, I'm no pro and my camera isn't great for video, so just stick with me!  I just finished making some touch ups.

Here it is...

So as you can tell, Bryce is really quite a dedicated fan.  I know only few people that willingly paint their face for a team.  Probably because I'm not a guy.  Don't you think he would be a good announcer or something???

I just finished up watching the Wake vs. Army game.  They won again!!!  Maybe we'll get to a better bowl game this year!

I hope you enjoyed this little post!
GO DEACS!!!!

Much Love,

Sunny Delight

So for the past few days, we've been bird-sitting a bird named Sunny Delight (aka Sunny, Sunny D, Sunny Boo Boo, Boo, Girlie, etc.).  So I've been spending some real solid quality time with her over the past few days, and wanted to share my "findings" with y'all.  Ohhhh and just a disclaimer, I don't know if Sunny is a girl or boy, so I'll just pretend she's a girl. Sawwy 'bout that...

First, I thought I should show you a picture so you can make a little movie in your head about her.  It'll be helpful :)

I have to be honest here and say that I'm not exactly what you would call pro-bird(?).  I'm not much for squawks or feathers or large beaks.  Even those eyes creep me out.  I'm more of a dog person.  I can't even say that I'm getting used to her, and it has been over a week.  I try and keep my distance.  As in behind the cage and on the couch.  Plus, she poops a lot.  Well, I'm not here to complain, so let's just move on.

So for the first few days, she was a little nervous.  More like shaking nervous.  I felt soo bad for her.  I mean I wouldn't want to be torn away from my mommy either.  I don't know if she even thinks that she'll go back at all.  Ahhhhh don't make my cry Sunny!!!!!!!

Okay so fun fact number one about this little fellow.  She likes LOVES Mini Wheats (or anything like them).  That's about the only thing we have in common, except for the whole One Direction thing.  I'll tell you about that in a sec.  So aside from her regular diet of nuts and seeds and who knows what else, she gets those.  It's really fun to watch her sit there and break into one.  I have a picture or two (or three) of that right about....here....

So yes, Sunny is a Directioner too.  We're listening to them right now :).  Yeah, it never ends.  The first day she stayed with us, I was attempting to complete my homework and she was sitting beside me in her cage.  I put on some music and she crawled up on the cage close to me.  Every once and a while she would tilt her head a little and shift around a bit.  I'm not too good at reading bird signals, but I'm pretty sure that she liked it.

She stays out here in my man cave/sunroom with me most of the time.  I'm usually on the computer or doing homework or something.  I feel bad if she's in here by herself, so I try to provide some happiness.  I do what I can.  Oh, and did I mention that this room is not exactly temperature controlled?  So when I get up in the morning I have to make sure she's warm enough.  But other than that, she's got the best room in the house.  Very scenic.

I'll leave you with some pictures of her in her "natural habitat"- more or less.  Also, I'll link her (well, actually my) favorite song below.  I mean a post wouldn't be complete without a little song to cheer you up!

So thanks for taking time out of your day to catch up with me and Boo.  Tell me if you enjoyed this little entry, and I hope you have a great day my lovelies!

Much Love,

August Rewind

What? August is over? This is terrible!  Where did my summer go?

Actually, I am pretty ready for cozy nights, s'mores, fairs, and hot chocolate.  Oh and let's not forget BIG SWEATERS. Yeah, I'm pretty excited.  I mean I already bought two knit sweaters.  And it's still like 80 degrees most days.

Right now it is storming, so I thought that I should do a blog post.  I think that blogging has become my favorite thing to do.  It's just so relaxing and happy :)

Anyways, I thought it would be fun to do a little August wrap up.  For those of you who don't know what that is, it's just a few things that I've personally been loving this month.

1. Verse
Jeremiah 29:11

2. Snack
Special K Popcorn Chips
Okay, so these are like the most wonderful snack in the world.  It's like popcorn, in chip form.  This particular kind tastes like kettle corn.  I love how light it is!  Plus, you can eat 28 of them and it's only 120 calories!

3. Song
Not Over You - Gavin DeGraw

4. Trend
Pastels!  During the summer months, I loved any light pastel color.

5. Quote
 Just keep swimmin'
Has anyone seen Finding Nemo in 3D yet??? I really want to!

6. Prank
Invisible Rope Prank - I need to try this one!

7.  Pictures
Favorties of mine...

Now some that I didn't take...

So that's what I've been obsessed with this month.  What about you?  I love making these posts, so I hope you enjoyed!

Much Love,
